The Headquarters of the Tyndall Centre at UEA has appointed three new Lecturers to develop its interdisciplinary and policy-relevant research across two Faculties, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Yi He (Helen) joins the Tyndall Centre UEA from Kings College London. Helen received a BSc. in Environmental Engineering from Tianjin University, China; and a M.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering and PhD in Hydrological Engineering from the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering at the Universitaet Stuttgart, Germany. Helen has worked as a private sector design engineer in the water and wastewater industries in China.

Charlie Wilson has joined Tyndall Centre UEA from the London School of Economics. Charlie has worked previously at IIASA in Austria, and Chalmers University in Sweden. His research is at the intersect between innovation, behaviour and policy in the field of energy and climate change mitigation. Charlie has an inter-disciplinary PhD from the University of British Columbia in Canada on the social and behavoural determinants of energy use. He also has private sector experience in renewable energy finance and climate change policy that followed an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, and a BA in Modern Languages & Natural Sciences from Cambridge.

Marisa Goulden is a former undergraduate and PhD researcher at UEA and most recently a Research Associate in the School of Development Studies, now joins its Faculty as a Tyndall Centre Lecturer. Marisa works on adaptation to climate change in Africa, focusing on livelihoods and water resources in internationally shared river basins, in particular the River Nile Basin.
