Tyndall members to contribute to IPCC Fifth Assessment Report

Members of the Tyndall Centre have been appointed as authors for the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).The IPCC is a UN body dedicated to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences.

For its Fifth Assessment Tyndall scientists will contribute across the working groups on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability(WG2) and on Mitigation (WG3):

Neil Adger is a Convening Lead Author on the Working Group 2 in the assessment of Human Security
Esteve Corbera
is a Lead Author on Sustainable Development and Equity in Working Group 3
Yongfu Huang
will be contributing to Working Group 3 on Cross-cutting finance and investment issues
Robert Nicholls is Review Editor for Working Group 2 on Coastal systems and Low-lying Areas
Corrine Le Quere
is a Lead Author for Working Group 1 writing on carbon and other biogeochemical cycles
Rachel Warren is a Lead Author in Working Group 2 on Emergent Risks and Key Vulnerabilities

In addition Tyndall alumni such as Suraje Dessai (now at Exeter University), Emma Tompkins (Leeds University) Lisa Schipper (now at Stockholm Environment Institute) and Katharine Vincent (now at University of Witwatersrand) are all Lead Authors in Working Group 2 on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.
