The academic journal Global Environmental Change edited by Tyndall UEA Professors, Neil Adger, Kate Brown and Declan Conway has further established its status among the most prestigious academic journals for publishing interdisciplinary environmental research. The Thomson ISI 2010 Impact Factor for Global Environmental Change, at 4.92, now ranks the journal as the premier geography journal, the premier environmental studies journal, and the 6th most important environmental sciences journal in the world (of 200 journals).

"We are delighted that the journal makes a difference to the visibility and importance of interdisciplinary research on the critical human and policy dimensions of global change" said Professor Neil Adger of UEA and the Tyndall Centre.

UEA Profs Neil Adger, Kate Brown and Mike Hulme took on the role of Editors in 2004, with Declan Conway joining as Editor in 2010. Since 2004 the journal's impact factor has increased from 1.0 to 4.9.
