Tyndall wins Scottish Award for Quality in Planning

The 2008 Royal Town Planning Institute Award was won by Glasgow and the Clyde Valley, Seb Carney of the Tyndall Centre, and the METREX Consortium for "outstanding performance and quality in development plans" The judges said that the work was "innovative an piece of work and offered a solid foundation for future collaboration and the development of measures to control climate change both within Scotland and our wider European partners" The work is based upon the Greenhouse Gas Regional Inventory Protocol (GRIP) that Sebastian developed as part of his PhD - which is now being used in 18 European Regions. » Further information: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2009/03/11103545/3
