In the recent release of emails from UEA, the cherry-picked extract attributed to me is part of a sentence from a longer email asking my student to look into her results, which I thought looked incorrect. In the email I asked her to send me the model configuration files so that I could check them. The final version of the paper, which was recently accepted by the journal Climate Research, will soon appear. Brief details are currently available at doi:10.3354/cr01042. These emails are an excellent example of the professional process and scrutiny that goes on everyday in science, with the results now published in a peer reviewed journal.
