Research Interests: Professor Liverman's research has focused on environmental change and policy, including climate change and its impacts, the social causes and consequences of land use change, and environmental management in the context of globalisation. Her current projects include work on making climate science and forecasts more useful to stakeholders in the Americas, differentiating the geographies of land use change in Mexico, understanding environmental problems and governance on the US-Mexico border, and theorizing vulnerability to global change.

Role at Tyndall: She is Partner Co-ordinator for the University of Oxford. Task 1.1, Responding to policy demands for improved information on impacts, damages and uncertainty at the local scale
