Laurie is a PhD researcher in the school of Environmental Sciences at UEA. Laurie’s research forms part of the ‘SILCI’ project which explores disruptive low – carbon innovations and how they spread through processes of social influence. In particular, Laurie’s research interests lie at the intersection of the concept of ‘Smart Cities’ and urban green infrastructure.
Prior to starting her PhD, Laurie graduated from UEA in with a BSc (hons) in Ecology with a Year in Europe (spent at the Institut de Géographie Alpine in Grenoble, France). In 2017, she completed an MSc in Environment and Society Studies, with a specialisation in Local Environmental Change and Sustainable Cities, at Radboud University in the Netherlands.
