My Thesis' Abstract

This PHD project focuses on buiness actors' contribution on governance ofrenewable energy developent and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in China. It explores the micro-politics of wind energy projects under the CDM, providing an explanatory account of the dynamic relationships among state, market and social actors involved in day-to-day CDM practices. By investigating the dynamic processes of governance, Wei’s work also seeks to understand how renewable energy CDM projects in general (and wind farms in particular) can contribute to sustainable and clean development.
