Research Interests

Anthony Footitt has fifteen years of experience working in the field of risk, economics, regulation and policy development, first in environmental consultancy and, since 2006, specialising in climate change at the Tyndall Centre and the Low Carbon Innovation Centre (LCIC).

Formerly a Senior Consultant at Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd. (RPA), he joined the Tyndall Centre in June 2006 as Senior Research Consultant and now works with both the Tyndall Centre and the Low Carbon Innovation Centre (LCIC) on targeted studies and consultancies on specific issues relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as other issues. He has a strong practical background in risk and economics and applying these principles to the development and appraisal of policies across a wide range of policy areas including, but not limited to, climate change.

He has managed undertaken, researched and written consultancy reports for more than 70 projects on a range of issues for a range of audiences and clients.

These projects have covered regulation and policy development for a range of Government departments, agencies and European and International Institutions as well as businesses and Local Government across a diversity of issues – climate change, land use, pesticides, toxic substances, water quality, sustainability indicators, health and safety, agriculture, marine risks, genetically modified organisms, noise and many more.
