Ilias is a PhD Researcher in Tyndall Centre for Climate Change research, at the University of Manchester. His research looks at ’’The Impacts of Heating and Cooling Demand on Power Networks in a Changing Climate - Hospitals’’, being part of Centre for Doctoral Training in Power Networks, EPSRC. The research examines the impact of climate change on thermal and energy performance of UK hospital buildings utilising hospital monitoring data and building energy and thermal simulators. In addition, future hospital sites heating and cooling scenarios are investigated following the current energy observations and evaluating their impact on electricity energy and peak demand.
Prior to joining the Tyndall Centre, Ilias worked in building services sector as an Electrical Design Engineer. He has a MSc in Information Technology and a BA in Electrical Engineering.
